Features and Specifications: OSD’s Audio AP640 Patio Speakers are an excellent choice for medium to large patios or decks (500-800 sq feet). These outdoor patio speakers are built solid and offer rich bass and a very full sound. The AP640s include 6 1/2″ polypropylene woofers for excellent low frequency as well as a 1″ supernil tweeter to cover those high notes. If bass is important to you, remember that the bigger the woofer, the more potential bass. A 6.5 speaker has more bass than a 5.25 and an 8″ has more bass than a 6.5″.
The AP640s crank out excellent low frequency and with handling power up to 150 Watts and weather-sturdy components, you’ll experience beautiful outdoor sound at high or low volumes. In addition, the included swivel brackets let you mount the AP640 patio speakers vertically and horizontally.
Can These Speakers Handle Cold Climates? How do I connect the speakers to my source equipment? Most customers connect their outdoor speakers directly to household amplification, that is directly to a home a receiver or outboard receiver/amp stored safely in a tool shed or other covered space. OSD Audio patio speakers are compatible with just about any home stereo receiver/amp and most receivers/amplifiers today have A+B channels, so you can use the extra channel to drive exterior sound. It’s always a good idea to check your amplifier or receiver manual for the correct connection procedures.
